A bit disappointed.
They fit me in straight away, which was awesome but it cost over $40 for less than a 10min cut. Sideburns aren't even. Didn't really do anything with my fridge like I asked. I know I'll need to get it fixed it somewhere else & it just seemed like a bit of a waste.

Last Sunday, I went to get my hair colored.

I did not have an appointment, and I was informed that walk-ins were accepted. I arrived as soon as the shop opened. The woman there informed me that they were fully booked and sounded rude. I was a bit confused because I was told the day before that walk-ins were welcome. It would be appreciated if commitments could be honored. Poor customer service rude behaviour.

Absolutely the best Salon, so welcoming and they listen to what you are after. I am a regular monthly customer and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Alexa cuts my hair perfectly, and gets my colour right each month. All of the hairdressers are fabulous. ❤️

First time going back to dark hair since foiling my hair blonde for 14 years. The girls did a fantastic job and spent some time talking with eachother (and me) about the best approach on how to seamlessly transition my hair without damage and achieving the look I asked for. Deanne and Monique are two of the loveliest girls I have met. They talked me out of damaging my hair and making me have low maintenance hair which benefits my lifestyle, every time I come into the salon or even walk past they both smile and wave to me. Do not go here. The service at this salon has seriously declined over the years. Even as a frequent customer, I won’t be returning. I asked for a straight cut and instead was given choppy, uneven layers and a badly shaped U-cut (shown in the photo). Cutting hair straight should not be this difficult, and now I’ll have to cut off even more hair just to fix it. I wear my hair pin straight all the time and now I can’t because of how bad this cut is. While the hairdresser was polite, her skills were not up to standard. The organisation of this place was just as bad. I booked two appointments, mine at 11:00am and my friend’s at 11:30am. We were already asked to wait 15 minutes, then after my appointment finished, they told us my friend would need to wait another 30 minutes. By then it was around 12:20pm. What’s the point of booking appointments if they aren’t respected?
Save your money and go elsewhere - horrible experience

I wish I could give Deeanne more than 5 stars, It’s always a blessing when she does my hair, she is amazing with blondes and this is hard to find! Deeanne always leaves me feeling more confident than when I walked in.
My daughter also hates her hair being washed and brushed/combed, Deeanne was able to make it a fun experience with her exception skills with children my daughter loved every moment and can’t wait to go back, lastly I must say her bouncy blow wave is on point ! Do you yourself a favour and schedule your next booking with her you won’t regret it !

I can’t say enough positive things about the manager at this salon. My
daughter is going through the pre-teen stage and wanted a fresh new
hairstyle. The manager took the time to listen to her ideas, suggested
a style that suited her perfectly, and made her feel confident and
comfortable. She also gave us great advice on how to maintain the look
at home and recommended affordable products that actually work. It’s
so nice to see someone who genuinely cares about their clients and
takes pride in what they do. We left feeling so happy with the result
— thank you for making my daughter feel special and confident!

I came to this salon while visiting from interstate for a funeral and was treated with kindness and understanding. The manager Karaleigh went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and cared for during a really difficult time. She was empathetic, professional, and genuinely lovely. Had an appointment with Megan today. I explained what I would like and she did it 💯. A brilliant hairdresser. Walked out feeling a million bucks. And actually have been using this chain of salons since 1990. Do yourself a favour, visit this salon. Kara-Leigh is also brilliant.

I was very upset about my hair after my previous hairdresser did such a poor job. When I shared my concerns with Ky, she was incredibly confident, professional, and clearly understood what had gone wrong and what I wanted to achieve. She communicated everything very well and explained the entire process.
Ky completely transformed my hair—it looks amazing now, and I’ve received so many compliments. She did an outstanding job and was highly professional throughout. I highly recommend her. I can’t thank her enough, and I’m so grateful to have found such a great local hairdresser. Thank you so much Ky!!!!

Amazing result!! After not having been to the hairdresser in ages, Mack asked lots of good questions to find out what I wanted and then double checked she had the colour right before doing it. I was seen as soon as I got in, no waiting and foils were done quickly. I allowed 3 hours and was done in 2. Also enjoyed the coffee, which Mac ensured was to my liking, returning to put more milk in it.

I went in looking for some advice on my hair because I wasn’t happy with it, and I was met with such kindness and understanding by Kai who suggested I get a Perm. They got me in within the next few days where I received the best treatment I have ever had and the perm was PERFECT, way better then what I thought it was gonna be! If I could give 100 stars I would! Donna, Kyena and Sky were AMAZING! I was turned away from two other salons, one salon gave me the ugliest look when I came to ask if there was any other bookings open for the day, I felt unwanted but when I came to Christiane’s they booked me in right away. Donna came and had a talk about what I wanted to do and gave me some advice about my hair. We did foils and a nanoplasty and even though it took so long the team was patient and so welcoming! I know they would have been tired as it was a busy day for them but they never showed it when they were working on my hair. Donna and Kyena stayed with me even after closing time and they were so warm and never once made me feel unwanted or unwelcome! My hair turned out AMAZING and this has now become the only

First time to Christianes of Erina today, fantastic! Ky is the best hairdresser I’ve ever been too! (And I’ve been to heaps in my 51 years), she really listened to my concerns about my dry, frizzy, heat damaged hair and came up with the perfect solution for me, half head foils, toner, treatment, trim, blow dry… My hair looks and feels soft, shiny and fresh! I’ll definitely be back! Price very reasonable too!

Absolutely horrendous experience. I went in on Monday this week to book an appointment for a full head of back to back foils to ensure they could see my hair and allocate enough time. They booked me for 2pm yesterday. They ended up rushing through the process especially at the end when toning and putting a “root stretch” in. The colour ended up HORRENDOUS. It had blue, green and yellow all through - see attached photos! They were more concerned with leaving for the day than doing a good job on my hair. They didn’t have time to put a treatment through at all, or even dry it properly. When I went in to show them how badly the colour had turned out, they seemingly had no idea how to fix it. They said they could put 4 foils in the front to make it look better but that was it. When I called later and told them I wanted my money back, they said they don’t do refunds. I do not trust them to not damage or ruin my hair further than they have already, and will not be going back! To ruin someone’s hair like this and refuse to give their money back is ridiculous. I paid nearly $400 for this!! I had to pay another nearly $450 to have it fixed today at another salon!

While the ladies were really lovely, the service is just not it. My appointment was 4!!! hours and most of the time I just waited around. The place is way too busy and they just keep taking people in. I explained exactly what I wanted and showed a picture of it and also a pic of what would be an absolute nightmare and that is what I took home😅 The problem is you explain what you want to one person, then the next person comes round and starts doing it in you and then there are couple more people switching back and forth….First time dying my hair in 15 years and I honestly don’t know if I should redo it or just shave it off at this point. The most disappointing experience. Never again!

Highly recommend this salon. I’ve been going here for a couple years now, and another christianes salon prior to that but had moved and found this store.
I’ve had a great experience with all the staff members there and always been happy with the service and quality received.

I find the pricing well priced, and the salon always tidy and it’s also in a great location.

The store manager Mikayla is so caring, thoughtful and attentive and really looks after her staff and clients. I wanted to make sure she’s recognised for her hard work because it doesn’t go unnoticed.

I have always found the staff at Christiane's Glendale to be friendly, courteous and professional. Mikala and Leanne are especially attentive to every customer's requests and take the time to give them suggestions for the best outcome for their hair and/or beauty. It's a happy and relaxing atmosphere and I enjoy the feeling of being pampered which they do well. Maddy is great, too. It gets crazy busy there sometimes although the staff are always polite and try to accommodate you as best as they can. I highly recommend Christiane's at Glendale.

I cannot thank Donna (Area Manager), Rhea and team from Richmond enough. I went in really upset as I had been to another salon the day before who had completely ruined my hair. There was a very damaged bleached patch at the back of my head with various other colours that were not supposed to be in my hair including, blue, purple and green. My cut was also very crooked. They squeezed me in and with tears streaming down my face, these beautiful ladies, reassured me, supported me, explained everything to me and held my hand every step of the way, reassuring me that I would not be leaving until I was happy and smiling again. These miracle workers spent four hours not only restoring my hair but making it look fabulous. I am ever so grateful for their efforts but especially for their care, empathy & support, and I am so happy to report that I did leave smiling and happy. Thank you so very much 🥰

I've been a customer of Christiane's Richmond for well over 7 years. All of the staff are always happy, great to have a chat with and very helpful. Katie, the Manager, cuts and styles my hair and I am very happy with her great customer service. What an amazing experience!! To have finally found someone who knows what blonde should be, not yellow and like straw, Rea always delivers the perfect toned clean blonde I love. I have followed her from another store and would continue to follow her!
I have found all the staff at Christiane’s to be lovely and I always spend my time in the salon laughing with not only the staff but other clients too…..exec flu the experience I want at the hairdresser!

Feeling the mortgage stress like so many I haven’t been near a hairdresser in a year. As I used to have foils and was regrowth colouring myself my hair was a mush mash of colours (always worn up to hide it). As a birthday treat I went to Christiane Raymond Terrace. I was assigned to Molly and she was fabulous, took interest in what my ideal look was then discussed options with me that were within my budget to get the best outcome! I am thrilled with the result, Molly did a fabulous job and thanks to Renee and Briony who also assisted along the way. Definitely will recommend to others!

Angel is an absolute life saver. We have followed her from when she moved from her last store.
Angel has done my hair as well as my wife’s hair for years now.
She did a wonderful job with my wife when she had a terrible experience with her blonde treatment from another salon. Then Angel helped her get it back to her natural strawberry blonde.
Angel always gives me inspiration with my hair and kept it healthy through pregnancy.

Angel has not been cutting our son’s hair for 2 years and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Angel is so fun, loving and playful. My son absolutely adore her.

Cannot recommend Angel enough.

Every visit is such a beautiful experience from start to finish. The girls are all so welcoming and genuinely caring, and the basin massage alone is worth coming for — pure relaxation. Staff were friendly enough, but its going to take me a long time to undo the mess they have made. I now have 4 different colours in my hair, ranging from blonde to orange. I went back for a 2nd go, thinking maybe I just got the wrong hairdresser first time, but it was just as bad. Regrowth was visible that day.

Kristy is honestly one of the best hairdressers I’ve ever been to. She absolutely nails my colour every single time I always walk out feeling so confident and refreshed. She really listens, understands exactly what I’m after, and somehow makes it even better than I imagined.
Not only is she incredibly talented, but she’s also such a warm and genuine person, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and takes pride in her work.
Christianes is so lucky to have her Kristy is a true asset to the salon, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Absolutely wonderful experience at Christianes Jesmond.

As a person who has had a few bad experiences with hair dressers in the past, there is no other place I will go that Jesmond Christianes, the hairdressers listen what I would like and I have never walked away unhappy with the results.

From styles to nanoplasy I have been treated with respect and enjoyed the company of the staff.

I love coming here! I’ve come here for years and they always do such a good job with my hair. I usually get a cut, some layering and get my hair dyed either a dark brown or a dark red or recently dark purple and it always turns out fantastic! What a great team and friendly atmosphere:)

First time using Christianes at Jesmond. Was warmly greeted. They were very busy but was updated all the time. Great head massage from Tom. Amazing cut by Sandy and perfect finish by Imogen. Great vibe in the salon. Will definitely be back.

Kaitlyn at jesmond has been doing my hair, taking it from box colouring black to a beautiful brown ( not easy without damaging hair ) she created a foxtail style colour that i really love, leaving the tips black. Her attention to detail is amazing. Thank you very much.

I want to share my review. My son is pretty freaked out while having any haircuts. It’s always a stress for us to get his haircut done. Today one barber shop literally said us to walkout and was shame. But, i visited this saloon, Lauren looked after my son so well. He didn’t cry during whole cut. She was patiently doing even though he kept moving. Built so much confidence in my son. Thank you so much. We will be a regular happy customer always as long as he doesn’t cry or you tell us to walkout. 😊
